So who are we? Just two people with a bad habit of booking flights before we probably should. No fancy credentials, no sponsorships. Just a real obsession with showing up somewhere new and figuring it out as we go.

How This Started

We were planning our first big trip, opened like fifteen browser tabs — and got completely lost. Too much information, none of it feeling like it was written by an actual human.

We kept thinking "why can't someone just say this simply?"

So we became that someone.

You land in Turkey, step outside, and within 20 minutes you are eating something incredible for $2 while staring at a building and that is literally 1500 years old. It is that kind of place. Also significantly cheaper than anywhere else you are probably considering. Just go and enjoy there. 1. Istanbul Istanbul is a lot. In the best way. It's loud and chaotic and you will get slightly lost and that's fine, that's kind of the whole point. Do the ferry across the Bosphorus early on — costs almost nothing, great views, and you can say you crossed from Europe into Asia on a boat which is a fun thing to tell people. Hagia Sophia actually lives up to the hype, which not many things do. Blue Mosque is right next door so just do both — one morning, done.
