A BUDGET TRIP TO ICELAND IN 2026

Image
I thought it'd be like, pretty views, maybe a hot spring, some waterfalls, cool cool cool. What actually happened was I found myself standing at a glacier lagoon watching icebergs float past while seals just vibed around them and I literally forgot to take photos for like five whole minutes. I was just... standing there with my mouth slightly open like an idiot. Iceland broke something in my brain and I think it'll do the same to you. You've been warned. Okay But When Do You Actually Go Everyone asks this. The answer is genuinely "depends what you're after" which I know sounds like a cop-out but stick with me. Summer (June–August) — the sun doesn't set. Like actually doesn't set. You'll finish dinner, walk outside at 11pm, and it's completely bright and your body will just... give up trying to understand reality. Great for hiking and road trips. Also the busiest because literally everyone wants to go to Iceland now, congrats to Iceland. ...

A TRIP TO MEXICO IN 2026

Image
Why 2026 Specifically? Because Mexico keeps quietly improving and the rest of the world is somehow still sleeping on it. Tourism infrastructure has gotten genuinely good — the airports are smoother, more destinations are actually reachable without a four-hour odyssey, and the country has been putting serious effort into the visitor experience without turning everything into a sanitized theme park version of itself. It still feels real. That's rarer than it sounds. And here's what I keep telling people: Mexico is enormous. Like, embarrassingly large compared to how we talk about it. You could go five times and hit completely different experiences each trip. There's no "done Mexico" situation. You just rotate. I'm going to say this upfront because it's the hill I will die on — the food alone is worth the flight. We'll get there. TOP 10 COUNTRIES TO VISIT IN SUMMER 2026

Image
If you still haven't booked anything for summer you are genuinely running out of time. flights are not sitting there waiting for you. You keep saying you'll figure it out and then you don't and then it's September and you're looking at photos other people took. don't be that person. Book something. I spent way too long falling down travel rabbit holes — reddit threads at 1am, youtube vlogs, forums full of strangers arguing about the best ramen in Tokyo. No regrets. Here's what came out of it. 1. Japan Japan is the trip that makes every other trip feel slightly worse by comparison and i say that with full awareness of how annoying that sounds. everything just works. Trains are on time. Streets are clean. A 7-eleven onigiri costs like $2 and is better than food you've paid actual money for at home. It's almost irritating. Tokyo will swallow your whole itinerary if you let it and honestly just let it. Wander Shinjuku at night when it's loud ...

NORWAY TRAVEL GUIDE IN 2026

Image
Norway was genuinely never on my radar. Like not even a little bit. It felt like one of those destinations that exists specifically for people who own $3,000 cameras and caption everything "chasing light" or "golden hour finds me" or whatever. The kind of place you see on someone's Instagram and think okay we get it, you travel. I was not interested. And then I went. And I fully, completely, embarrassingly ate my words because this country is actually unhinged in the best possible way and I don't know how to explain it except to say — go. We're talking fjords that look so perfect they seem photoshopped into existence. Roads that are literally built on top of the ocean. The sun still going strong at 11pm like it genuinely did not get the memo that nighttime is a thing. It's a lot to take in and you will not be ready for it no matter how much you think you are. Here's everything I wish someone had actually told me before I booked the flights...

BEST TRAVEL BAGS FOR SUMMER 2026

Image
I'm going to be real with you — most "best travel bags" articles are written by people who have never missed a flight because their zipper broke. Like they clearly just googled "best travel bags 2026" and copy-pasted the Amazon descriptions. This one isn't that. I have opinions. Some of them are strong. Here's what's actually worth buying this summer, and more importantly, what each bag is actually for. 1. Carry-On Suitcase If you're checking a bag in 2026 you are simply choosing chaos. Like you are actively opting into a worse experience for no reason. Checked bag fees, waiting at the carousel, the 15% chance your bag ends up in a different country — none of that is necessary. A carry-on fixes all of it. You just walk off the plane like a person who has their life together. It's great. Get one with spinner wheels or don't bother. Two-wheel suitcases exist to punish you specifically. Also check the empty weight before you buy — so...

A TRAVEL GUIDE TO MALAYSIA IN 2026

Image
First Things First: When Are You Going? That said — west coast islands like Langkawi and Penang are best December to April . Borneo and the east coast, go March to October . And the rainy season? Everyone acts like it's this massive deterrent. It's not. What actually happens is: you're eating lunch, it starts absolutely bucketing it down for like 45 minutes, you order another teh tarik and wait it out, and then the sun comes back and the air smells incredible and everything is fine. That's it. That's the whole drama of the rainy season. Do not go there with jeans. I will keep saying this until you believe me.
